She was my first home where for first nine months she nurtured and shaped me into life. Her’s was the first voice I heard inside the warmth of her womb, my home. As I close my eyes every night and slip into slumber, I go back into that dark recess of my first home where she infused light of life in me bit by bit; drop by drop. Those bits turned into beats and those drops turned into blood. She was my first shield of protection; my first source of energy; my first teacher who taught to me how to swim in a pool of life abundant with fragrance of her love inside my first home. That boundless, selfless love; that pain she endured to bring me into this world; that nest of life, that ‘She’ is my Mother, your Mother, our Mother. She is my religion; she is my God. Because she is my umbilical cord to my life. Because she is eternal and omnipresent in my life.
