I am confused as every passing day no side is budging from its position. Anna Hazare's intentions are honest, well meaning. But I am not too sure about those associated closely with him in this campaign. May be they too have impeccable credentials; but their adamant attitude is only helping things getting more complicated. The surge of support in form of people coming out on streets waving tricolor and chanting patriotic rhymes and shouting anti-government slogans will slowly subside in chorus of daily struggle. Soon as that happens, the media will also start dimming their focus on Anna Hazare and his team. I hope that his team members are giving him right advise, which would be to start dialogue as has been offered by the government. It is not the time to continue be agnostic about the government's offer. There is no harm in talking to the government. After all we know civil society activists as wise and flexible. If they are not, then what is the differeence between them and the government which is increasing seen as behaving in ham handed manner? From whatever little I have read about both the version of the Bill - The Government's Lokpal and Anna's Janpal, both have hidden dangers. This is also acknowledged by many other civil society activists. Our hope is now on how Anna and his other team members show magnanimity in the interst of the larger good by not insisting talks be held on the streets- that's what I heard Mr. Kejriwal saying that the government should send their emissaries to the Ramlila ground for the talks. That is not reasonable. The sanity should prevail on both sides. That is what is expected more from wise members of Anna Hazare's team. If they remain obstinate, they will play in the hands of the government and they will disappoint all of us who support them in their quest to root out corruption in India. Please...
